A premier gathering of scholars, leaders, and innovators exploring the future of Türkiye in a shifting global landscape.
The Harvard College Türkiye Summit is a student-led initiative dedicated to fostering high-level dialogue on the economic, political, and social dynamics of Türkiye.
We bring together the sharpest minds from Harvard and beyond to discuss "The Crossroads" — a theme exploring Türkiye's unique position between East and West, tradition and innovation.
Empowering the next generation of global Turkish leaders.
Meeting of minds from academia, industry, and governance.
One day. Multiple sessions. Transformative conversations.
As biotechnology and life sciences become central to global health, economic resilience, and strategic capability, the competition is no longer just about discovery, but about who can translate science into scalable, high-impact systems. Building such capacity requires more than research excellence; it demands an integrated ecosystem spanning talent, infrastructure, capital, and commercialization. This panel brings together leaders across the life sciences stack, from research and biotech company-building to venture capital and ecosystem development, to explore how these elements come together. Drawing on global models and Türkiye’s emerging capabilities, the discussion will examine what it takes to move from isolated strengths to a coordinated, high-functioning ecosystem. At its core, the session asks a defining question: what would it take for Türkiye not just to participate in global life sciences, but to control more of the value it creates?
As global capital flows, energy systems, and infrastructure networks are reshaped, investment decisions are increasingly driven by geopolitics, supply dynamics, and long-term strategic positioning. Positioned between Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Türkiye sits at a critical junction where these forces converge. This panel examines how capital is being deployed across energy, digital, and large-scale infrastructure and how Türkiye is emerging as a key node in these evolving systems. The discussion will explore energy geopolitics, the role of large-scale infrastructure in regional connectivity, and how investors are navigating the trade-offs between efficiency, scale, and resilience. From transport corridors to energy systems and digital infrastructure, the conversation will focus on a central question: where will capital move next and who will shape the systems it builds?
As artificial intelligence and advanced technologies redefine global competition, the ability to build, scale, and finance innovation has become a defining source of economic and strategic power. Türkiye’s technology ecosystem is entering a new phase, driven by globally successful founders, a maturing venture landscape, and growing capabilities in areas such as defense technologies, applied AI, and advanced manufacturing. Bringing together founders, investors, and technologists, this panel explores how Türkiye is positioning itself in the AI era, from company-building to system-level capability. The discussion will examine how startups, capital, and strategic industries intersect to drive global competitiveness, and what it takes to translate technical strength into enduring platforms. From frontier AI to globally scaled companies, the session asks a core question: can Türkiye move from building products to shaping the technologies and systems that define the next era?
